Improvisational Comedy Techniques are being used nationally to help individuals cope with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues and self-confidence. The basic philosophy of Improv Comedy is to be present in this moment, play a "win/win" game and accept other players. In other words, there is no "wrong" way to play! In this safe, supportive environment clients will learn to regain their "inner child" through play and laughter.
The philosophy of improv comedy has many parallels with 12-step recovery. This group will help you gain self-awareness, improve relationships and have fun. You don't have to be funny to join - just like to have fun.
