Meg Reinis Newman, MS, LMFT, Marriage & Family Therapist in Los Angeles
Finding the right therapist for you is important. I provide a safe, warm and nurturing space in order to allow healing to take place. I specialize in the treatment of substance abuse / sobriety, sexual and relational trauma as well as body image issues. Guilt and shame, depression and anxiety are feelings that often create suffering related to and that affect self worth, sleep, social interactions, and romantic relationships. Together we will explore the root of the suffering and how to empower healing within you. You are the expert of your healing.
I use the Trauma Resiliency Model which is a somatic based treatment for reprocessing trauma. I am also training in Brainspotting, another method for reprocessing trauma that becomes stuck in the brain and body. I believe that talking about a trauma helps some, and going into the somatic experience provides a deeper healing.
I have an intern that also specializes in the treatment of substance abuse with teens and adults. She has extensive experience working with veterans and with sexual trauma. Andrea Davis is a MSW and works on a sliding scale.
