Lia Brody, LMFT, Marriage & Family Therapist in Los Angeles
Finding the right therapist can be a daunting process. My goal is listen deeply to clients -- in order to fully hear the nature of their problems and skillfully mine for the underlying components of the personality that might be inhibiting growth, recovery and freedom. Whether you are suffering with conflict in your personal relationships, compulsive or addictive behaviors, mood disturbances, indecision, or the everyday crises of meaning we all sometimes face, I will apply my professional skills to organize and construct a treatment plan. In an atmosphere of trust and warmth a collaboration can commence. Call me today to begin...
Rather than fit my clients into a single orientation or psychological framework, I tailor my methods to meet the unique personality and goals of my various clients. I am uniquely qualified to confront relationship issues, (including family conflict and parenting challenges), mood disturbances, life transitions, anxiety, loss, and substance-abuse.
In addition to the traditional schools of therapy (cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, humanistic/ narrative), I am practiced in a unique modality that helps clients escape the constraints of their own personality systems. Everyone's personality has its strengths and weaknesses, this modality (known as voice dialogue) helps clients become more flexible.
