Cheri L McDonald, PhD, LMFT, Marriage & Family Therapist in Westlake Village
To put it simply, I love people. I work from a direct approach so my Ideal client includes those who are willing to do the work by activiely participating in their personal growth as we combat the current challenges they may face. I believe in the mantra, "Two minds are greater than one." As a result, advocate innovative ways, tools and modalities together in gaining the necessary insight and increase awareness for change for health, well-being and happiness.
As a psychotherapist for the past 27 years I have continually pursued my education and learning to ensure I have the tools to adddress individuals and families of all shape, sizes and ages, which eventually prompted the founding of A Place To Turn in 2000.
My thirty years of practice has afforded me the opportunity to acquire a wealth of wisdom to implementing tools suited for each individual, relationship and familys' needs. I work in a proactive way encouraging personal growth, positive change and paving ways toward taking action with the "ICAN" attitude.
