Kelly LaPorte, MA, NCC, LCPC, CADC, Counselor in Naperville
Hello! I am a Psychotherapist and Clinical Director of Naperville Counseling Center and I work with adolescents, teens, and adults. I offer interventions that foster empowerment, knowledge, and inspiration, which ultimately brings positive changes to your life. Due to the empathy and compassion I have with the therapeutic experience, I do my best to build strong rapports with my clients as well as their families to make the therapeutic process enjoyable and successful. I understand that the first stages of beginning therapy can be a difficult, so please contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.
I work with an eclectic array of topics such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, adjustment struggles, eating disorders, self-harming behaviors, ADHD, anger management, LGBTQ+, relationships, loss/grief, stress reduction, and abuse. I am a certified substance abuse/dependence counselor and certified in the topic of domestic violence.
By taking on a holistic approach, my clients and I cohesively make a treatment plan by taking into account the individual's psychological, physical, and social needs. Talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, positive psychotherapy and motivational techniques may be used to help an individual reach their goals.
