Ann Green, NP, Psychiatric Nurse in New York
Overwhelmed by anxiety? Sad too much of the time? Trouble with relationships? Stressed at work? Problems with life transitions? Considering medications? Need help tapering off medications? With 30+ years experience, my empathetic approach offers a unique and rich opportunity to create new ways of thinking, feeling, relating to others and a path to recovery and growth. I am licensed as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with additional certifications in psychotherapy, social therapy and group therapy.
My practice is holistic, integrative and empowering with a genuine and profoundly engaging style of psychotherapy. I relate to patients and clients in a manner that engenders trust and mutual understanding. My practice is LGBTQ friendly.
I conduct psychiatric evaluations and can prescribe medication if needed to supplement our therapeutic work. As your life improves, we can consider tapering off or discontinuing medications. If you have out-of-network coverage with any insurance company, therapy with me will be covered and I will submit your claim.

Weekly Therapy Group

While shyness is normal for most of us, particularly in our culture, at times it presents powerful inhibitions to living more fully and joyfully, accomplishing career goals as well as meeting and keeping new friends and intimate partners. And with shyness, we can frequently suffer in silence and isolation. Shyness and social anxiety does not have to prevent you from developing your social and emotional skills! This group offers a safe and caring environment to help you grow emotionally and minimize the impact that shyness and social anxiety can have on your day-to-day life.
