I have enjoyed working in private practice for 30 years with adolescents and adults. Their issues generally include such things as depression, trauma, anxiety, and relationship conflict or disconnection from loved ones. Sometimes people have been struggling with these things for a very long time. Experience has shown me that using an Internal Family Systems/Attachment-based psychodynamic approach works best for most people, and can lead to deep and lasting transformation in people's lives. At other times I work with people on a more short-term basis, using a more eclectic, skill building approach to our work together.
My practice is also devoted to working with couples and families. I am passionate about providing a supportive, safe place for us to help you build the kind of bonds that you are hoping for. I pay special attention to helping partners to become healing agents for each other and to build empathic relationships with themselves, as well as their loved ones.
I believe that their is an intuitive and wise part of us all, and work to engage and nurture this aspect of people so that we can work collaboratively to address the more challenging parts of your life. My style is engaging, warm, authentic and direct. I will meet you where you are at in the present moment as we explore your concerns.
