I believe anyone can change. My role is to help you identify what you want to be different and to develop the strategies necessary to achieve these goals. I approach people from a non-judgmental mindset, treating them with respect and dignity. Many of the people I see struggle with major life altering events such as divorce and/or addiction. Many others have come from abusive environments, which interfere with their ability to form healthy connections with others. What these people often share is the feeling of being overwhelmed. By systematically reviewing the forces creating the difficulty, peace can be yours.
Each day of our lives, interactions mold us. When the event is serious, the impact can weave itself into the fabric of our being. From witnessing violence to interacting with an alcoholic loved one, we find ways to cope. Our work involves discovering healthy ways to do just that.
Many of us go through our days on autopilot. Influenced by past experience, we act out of habit. The more aware we are of our actions, the more we can influence them. By being mindful and making conscious and purposeful choices, we can regain mastery of our lives.
