I have nearly 20 years of experience treating individuals (children and adults), couples, families and groups. My treatment approach is rooted in reducing emotional distress, restoring life balance, improving self-awareness and helping to create more meaningful relationships in your life. I will provide you tools to help reduce and reframe unhealthy and potentially damaging thoughts, resulting in improved comfort with yourself and within your relationships. We will develop a conflict resolution plan to reduce relationship distress and to learn to use your bodily cues as a tool in understanding your own habitual responses.
Some of the areas I work with include but are not limited to: communication, depression, anxiety, stress/anger management, PTSD/Trauma, chronic illness, conflict resolution, grief, trust, infidelity, forgiveness and intimacy. --As a team we will develop a wellness plan specified to your needs.
In a non-judgmental and confidential environment, safety and trust are paramount. My clients often describe me as "a real person", approachable, gentle, and knowledgeable. During your sessions you will experience a balance of compassion, laughter, gentle challenging, psychoeducation and improved awareness.

Groups
Chronic Illness/Chronic Pain Therapy Group
Chronic illness can often be a qualifier for trauma, not only for the patient but for those individuals who love the patient. It is a time of identity change, where the ways in which the patient once viewed himself/herself changes. The individual often has a need to re-adjust and reorganize their lives, grieving the life that they once had. Chronic illness offers the individual a unique opportunity to re-define themselves and how they interact with the world, most notably in relationships.
