I have a holistic view to therapy. One's physical and mental wellbeing are tied together. Every client has the strength to be whole. I work as a coach to help the client work thru those issues and concerns that are stopping their growth. The client determines the agenda and how many sessions as needed. I have over 20 years of experience as a therapist. I also have vast experience working with psychosis and mood disorders. As well as personal issues such as grieving and loss.
My specialty is focusing on the client's strengths and willing to work as a team to understand the skills and thought processes that contributes to their issues. I believe in active listening and direct feedback to ensure that the client and I are working together as a team.
My various degrees and certificates allow me to have many tools to draw upon. Such as my masters in gerontology gives me a clear understanding of the aging process. EMDR has been valuable in serving my clients with trauma.
