Adults with Aspergers (a/k/a Autism Spectrum Disorder) have extraordinary challenges coping with everyday life. This is a result of neurological differences in emotional wiring, communications, social interaction, sensory and executive functioning. Living life with these differences can result in depression and anxiety. It can also cause havoc within a marriage, educational pursuits, and careers. I offer a validating environment to better understand the "typical world," and develop coping skills to manage everyday life--as well as a creative space for couples to learn about their differences and work towards acceptance.
Therapy for individuals includes: education regarding differently-wired brains (Asperger's), relationship, communication and executive function skill-building, as well as stress management, setting goals and planning your next step. Neurodiverse couples counseling is geared towards helping partners move out of their corners and move closer to one another.
Whether you opt for individual therapy, neurodiverse couples counseling, group coaching just for neurotypical spouses/partners, you will discover positive solutions for a quality home, work and social life. Join an 8-week coaching group and share with others who understand. Learn coping strategies and differences in social, communication, emotional regulation, sensory and executive functioning you and your partner experience. The group will change the way you understand your partnership. Group is FOR NEUROTYPICAL PARTNERS ONLY. Limited to 6 participants. Group starts Tuesday, 2/6/24; ends on 3/26/24.
