Liz Hertz, MA, MFT, Marriage & Family Therapist in Walnut Creek
People come to therapy for a variety of reasons. I help people who are experiencing problems in daily living, difficulty in navigating life transitions, relationship and family discord, or who struggle with symptoms of anxiety, depression or loss. Therapy is about removing obstacles and developing the capacity for self-acceptance, self- expression, and joy. I will collaborate with you to set your goals and uncover new strategies for a happier life.
I specialize in helping children who struggle with self-control find new ways to deal with difficult feelings so there can be more harmony at home, better performance at school and improved confidence in making and keeping friends. I am interested in issues of divorce and step-parenting.
I have a practical approach. We will work on building skills in the areas of negotiating distress, regulating emotions, solving problems and improving interpersonal relationships. Chances are if your children are struggling, then you and your family are struggling, too.
