Dr. Laura Espana

Psychologist , PsyD

(714) 589-2295
My goal as a therapist is to work collaboratively with individuals in a process of self-reflection, self-validation and self confrontation; in doing so I assist them in developing a true and solid sense of self. My clinical experience has shown me that individuals who possess a solid sense of self are better equipped to work through the trials and challenges life presents; thus contributing to greater individual resilience.
I work with individuals to assist them in developing satisfying, meaningful relationships by helping them attain a balance between autonomy and connection to others. I help people challenge themselves to look at the obstacles that impede them from acting with integrity and operating from the best in themselves.
The scope of my practice includes work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions issues, and relationship issues. I have a keen interest in working with couples struggling with intimacy issues and experiencing sexual dysfunction. I work effectively with women struggling with infertility issues and women experiencing post-partum depression.
