Psychotherapy is a partnership, shaped by the creative, dynamic working alliance that develops between patient and therapist. I am a clinical psychologist and board-certified psychoanalyst in practice for 40 years, employing both psychoanalytic-oriented therapy and cognitive- behavioral solution-based therapy. In addition, I have developed ARMM, the Applied Reframed Mindset Method. ARMM is a focused technique using tools designed to create a helpful mindset for improving physical health, emotional states, the relationship with self and others, and to achieve goals.
Distress comes in many forms. People seek treatment not only to alleviate pain but also to develop resiliency, and a sense of well-being, and to learn ways to navigate successfully through life.
