Sarah Wood, MS, LMFT, Marriage & Family Therapist in Claremont
Do you want to break free of the painful and traumatic experiences of your past? You deserve to get the help you need. Unresolved trauma negatively impacts our views of ourselves, others, and the world around us. Our bodies remember and hold trauma, and can become "stuck" in a state of fear and distress. In order to experience lasting relief, it is important to access the body and release the painful memories and experiences that are held there. I am trained in Trauma Resiliency Model, a somatic approach that helps restore balance to the body and mind after traumatic experiences.
I specialize in working with people who have experienced childhood abuse, domestic violence, sexual trauma, or are adult children of alcoholics and dysfunctional families. I am also experienced in substance abuse and other addictive disorders, helping my clients address their painful pasts and learn healthier methods of coping.
Because the right fit is crucial to successful therapy, I offer a free phone or in-person consultation to determine if I am the right therapist for you. I provide a sliding scale to clients on an as-needed basis. I do not accept insurance; cash/check only.
