Kelly Sievertson, MSW, LICSW, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Edmonds
I understand it is a privilege that clients trust me with their feelings, secrets, and experiences. My goal is to be an ally and to collaborate with my clients. I want to help them discover their inner strengths and to learn to embrace vulnerability in order to improve emotional well-being and interpersonal relationships. I help my clients uncover experiences from their past that are affecting their present thoughts and actions. Additionally, I strive to empower my clients by teaching skills to be self compassionate and mindful.
I work with adolescents dealing with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, bullying, trauma, and family transitions. Additionally, I work with survivors of domestic violence, childhood trauma, and sexual assault. I also work with adults dealing with depression, anxiety, and postpartum issues.
Sometimes life's stressors become overwhelming and our usual coping mechanisms are not enough. In those situations, we can benefit from the extra support therapy can provide. I provide that support through empathic listening in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.
