Daniel Singley, PhD, Psychologist in San Diego
I use well-researched, evidence-based practices to help my clients develop concrete skills and techniques which allow them to more effectively manage a variety of concerns including stress, anxiety, depression, interpersonal problems, social isolation, relationship issues, and life transitions such as new parenthood, career change, and divorce. My clients are individual adults and couples who are looking to identify and use their unique strengths to take control of their concerns by handling them in healthier, more productive ways. Many of my most satisfied clients are men who never thought they would take part in - or benefit from - therapy.
I have special expertise in working with men and couples regarding a host of concerns such as parenthood, infertility, divorce, marital concerns, communication issues, work/life balance, stress, and anger management. I take pride in providing a "guy-friendly" and effective counseling/coaching experience to engage men in treatment.
My office is in San Diego, and my practice blends in-person visits with clients in San Diego along with videoconferencing telepsychology consultations for clients located throughout California. I have extensive experience in providing psychotherapy online, and my clients benefit from the convenience and flexibility of "virtual visits."

Daniel Singley's Groups

Men's Group - Center for Men's Excellence

This ongoing group is for men whose issues with anxiety and/or depression have resulted in them having trouble feeling isolated. Participants are high-functioning professionals who have difficulty sustaining close relationships, and sessions involve using the group as a type of "laboratory" to try out new ways of interacting with each other. Participants have regular out-of-session "homework" assignments which involve practicing some new behaviors designed to extend their comfort levels and to enhance their social support. Members support and challenge each other as they work toward their respective goals.
