I offer in person and tele therapy. My goal is to provide a safe and caring environment. I enjoy working with a wide variety of people. I specialize in those who are struggling with depression, anxiety, chronic pain, addiction, trauma and PTSD. I work with clients who are dealing with opioid and/or benzodiazepine abuse/dependency. My style is a common sense, straight forward approach. I believe that the connection between the therapist and client is the most important piece in the therapeutic process.
I mainly utilize a Cognitive-Behavioral approach to therapy (CBT). I often integrate psychodynamic and solution-focused techniques into the therapeutic process. I am a firm believer in the connection between therapist and client. I always encourage clients to meet with more than one therapist before making a decision on longer term therapy.
Although it is difficult to share your story more than once, I feel it is crucial for you, the client, to have a sense of trust and connection with your therapist in order to facilitate the best potential outcome for therapy.
