Meg McLaughlin, LMHC, MA, Counselor in Seattle
Sometimes life's challenges become overwhelming and you may find it difficult to cope or to move forward. When this happens, these challenges/problems may dominate your life. Often social and family pressures help to keep the problem in control, too. I will work in partnership with you to identify ways these problems have affected your life and strategize ways to help you regain control over your life.
My primary foundation is Narrative Therapy with a new emphasis using Emotion Focused Therapy. I believe that the stories people tell, retell (and don't tell) have strong influence over the identity a person forms, about the beliefs a person holds about who s/he is and what s/he may be capable of doing.
I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation when we might discuss the reasons you are seeking counseling, your goals, how I think I may be of help and any questions you might have.
