I am a Psychoanalyst who has provided psychotherapy and psychoanalysis to individuals (from age 16) and couples in the Denver area since 1987. To further my skills as a therapist I completed advanced training in Psychoanalysis via the Colorado Center for Psychoanalytic Studies and the Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis. I also worked for a number of years at the Denver Veterans Affairs Medical Center and learned a great deal about working with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
The mind is a meaning making machine and the primary thing people try to make meaning of are their relationships. Understanding that meaning, understanding ones participation in their relationships is the vehicle for changing ones experience. Therapy is a relationship so I try to work with people one or, preferably, more times per week.
I understand that there is no "one size fits all" approach to working with people. I always endeavor, with empathy and 30ish years of experience to create a unique environment for each individual or couple I see.
