Robert Davis, PsyD, Psychologist in Hadley
I am a licensed clinical psychologist and neurotherapist. In addition to the traditional tools used by most mental health professionals (individual, group & family psychotherapy), I utilize state-of-the-art, neuroscience-based technologies to help facilitate change in my clients. I work with individuals from three to over eighty years of age. Most people contact me as a result of an understandable ambivalence towards taking medications or a desire to reduce the difficulties associated with some mental or physical condition viewed by others as 'unalterable' or life-long (e.g., ADHD, learning disabilities, autism, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, traumatic brain injury, or other medical conditions).
There is a significant amount of high quality research demonstrating the lasting effectiveness of neurotherapy approaches. Neurotherapy interventions are non-invasive, do not involve medication and are not associated with any significant negative side effects. For many individuals, I combine neurotherapy approaches with traditional psychotherapy (i.e., CBT, DBT, Relational Trauma txt).
Today's brain-based technologies offer an extraordinary new tool to better understand and expedite personal change. Nevertheless, I continue to believe that my success in helping people achieve their goals will always be linked to my ability to cultivate a respectful and attuned relationship with each client. Technology alone does not suffice.
