I have worked in a variety of settings as a clinician, supervisor, manager and director both before and after starting my own private practice in 2000.
My early clinical experience came from working with individuals and families struggling with substance abuse, addiction or codependency issues. When individuals or families deal with alcoholism or chemical dependency often there are other psychological or behavioral issues in play known as co occurring disorders.
My practice has adapted and evolved with the needs of my clients. I utilize a person driven approach to counseling and know that the best outcomes happen when the client feels a positive connection with her counselor.
