Yes. Life can be a struggle -- a taxing one when challenges come our way, and we feel alone and misunderstood. Don't give up; there is hope. I'd like to give you personal attention, understand you, and provide you genuine, nonjudgmental support and guidance. Together, we will identify and understand the causes of your pain, reinstill hope, and find ways for you to cope and regain pleasure in the here-and-now. My research on loss and mother-daughter relationships strengthens my work with couples; gender issues; parenting; anxiety and depression; and adjustment to loss and overall life changes.
My associates, Christopher Marvin, PhD and Jill Murphy, LCPC are skilled and warm clinicians working with children, adolescents and adults, providing individual and family/couples therapy. They specialize in working with depression and anxiety; smoking cessation; substance use and abuse; anger management; transgender issues; divorce; parenting; domestic abuse; and cultural issues.
Unique to our group is collaborative therapeutic and testing services for children and adults. We evaluate neurological (e.g., ADHD, learning disorders, and autism spectrum disorders), cognitive (e.g., memory and cognitive disorders), and social/emotional functioning to confirm a diagnosis, and to aid in educational planning and medical treatment.

Adjustment to Divorce

Are you separated or divorced -- with or without children -- and are having a difficult time with the transition?!! Given that divorce is the second most stressful even in one's lifetime (following the death of a spouse), this is not surprising. Come join others going through a similar experience. Not only will you be able to express yourself to others who understand your loss but you will gain skills to manage your new responsibilities, children, and relationship issues. This group will be run by Dr. Christopher Marvin, a clinician with extensive experience working with divorce issues.
