I have been counseling since 2006. My approach to therapy is called "Person Centered," which means that I meet people where they are and work at their pace towards their goals. I believe that every person I see is an intelligent, worthwhile human being that just wants to make their life better. I aim to be genuine, respectful and trustworthy, in order to create a place where people feel safe enough to process, understand and resolve their struggles. I love helping people find insight into their problem behavior and the courage to change it.
I have enjoyed working with adults, teens and the elderly and almost every type of issue at one point or another. Most commonly, people are struggling with similar issues of anxiety, depression, grief and relationship issues. I particularly enjoy guiding young adults to independence, people pleasers to assertiveness and the self-critical to self-acceptance.
