I practice Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and recognize that the patient is the expert in their own life. I work collaboratively with individuals, couples, and families to find unique solutions to complex problems. I believe focusing on patient strengths, not weaknesses, elicits hope and leaves room for meaningful and long lasting change.
I specialize in working with individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+. I also specialize in Body Dysmorphic Disorder and Anxiety and Mood disorders, including Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. My training in play therapy gives me the tools to be successful with young children experiencing numerous concerns.
At Resolute Therapy you will find The Body Dysmorphic Disorder Clinic of Iowa. I use CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy to help individuals with BDD work toward recovery.
