Dori J Mages, MSW, LCSW, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Deerfield
When your child or teen is struggling, you want tools to use the challenges right away. Though it's work, it shouldn't feel like "therapy". Kids and teens must be empowered with strategies, so they can succeed independently. My goal is for your child and teen to learn skills to be successful with school, peers, and the family-long after therapy ends. Having worked in the schools for several years, I understand the daily challenges children and teens face- out of their parents' sight. Parents are my partners in helping kids and teens learn the life skills they need.
Often kids and teens do not realize how their actions affect others' thoughts, feelings, and reactions toward them. Using engaging, proven techniques, we provide tools to create better communication and relationship skills throughout life. I work with kids and teens who are struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, behavioral/social issues.
We don't want families burdened with insurance paperwork. We give you an insurance verification form and submit all claims for reimbursement on your behalf, and are in-network for BCBS PPO and some HMOs. Our Deerfield, Skokie, Libertyville, and Park Ridge offices are minutes from 294, 94, and Metra.
