Sandra J. Landen, PhD, Psychologist in Los Angeles
Looking for a Psychologist can be an overwhelming task. I work in a collaborative way respecting each person's unique history, personality, cultural context, strengths, weaknesses and goals. I offer a warm, respectful and compassionate environment that promotes growth. I have extensive experience and expertise working with adults in psychotherapy struggling with depression, grief, anxiety, fears, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions and creative blocks that interfere with daily living in terms of creating and maintaining meaningful relationships or realizing fulfilling career goals.
I have specific advanced training in Child & Adolescent Psychology, play therapy and parenting. I work with children, adolescents, young adults and families with concerns about emotional issues, anxiety, trauma, divorce, learning differences, ADHD, adoption, loss, and identity issues. I work closely with parents helping them understand developmental issues and temperament in order to facilitate parenting.
Psychotherapy is an opportunity to find increased self awareness, meaning and a deeper connection to all aspects of one's life. I am currently a 4th year Clinical Associate at the New Center for Psychoanalysis pursuing another doctorate and I am a delegated clinical supervisor at the Wright Institute, Los Angeles.
