In my counseling practice I help people make sense of the chaos and trauma they find within and around themselves. I help my clients build coping skills and work toward fulfilling short- and long-term goals. Generally speaking, the clients I work with struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and/or life transitions. Recognizing that specific types of stress, such as second-hand trauma, occur in helping professions, I provide counseling to medical personnel, educators, counselors, yoga teachers, physical therapists, and others who do helping/service work.
Another strength I have is helping young people through life transitions, such as coming out to peers, trying to find their place in a newly blended family, or acclimating to the first year at college. I am particularly skilled in working with adolescents who feel isolated, anxious, depressed, or outside the social norm.
I will see anyone in my practice, regardless of sexual identity, gender identity, income, race, ethnicity, or religion, and I welcome youth and families from the LGBTQQIA+ community. My clients range in age from 12 to adult.
