My primary goal as a therapist is to create an open, empowering, and creative atmosphere so clients can gain comfort in self-expression. I view therapy as both an art and a science. Artistically, a therapist must be flexible and creative in constructing a comfortable environment and tailoring conceptualizations and interventions specifically to each client. Scientifically, psychology is grounded in research and I strive to provide clients with empirically-supported treatments. I have extensive experience working with clients who suffer from anxiety, depression, trauma, executive functioning, and infertility.
I have a strong foundation in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and integrate with CBT, DBT, interpersonal and relational therapy. I utilize many anxiety-reducing and mindfulness strategies that clear the way for more intensive work if desired. I am compassion focused and person centered.
