Laura Reagan, LCSW-C, MSW, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Severna Park
After a traumatic event, you want to return to normal. While some recover on their own, many find that as months and even years pass the effects linger. Often survivors of childhood physical, emotional or sexual abuse, physical or emotional neglect and other traumas experience feelings of worthlessness that interfere with day to day living, affect relationships and put a damper on your happiness. You need a therapist skilled in helping people heal from traumatic events. I have specialized training and experience helping people recover from trauma so you can get back to feeling like yourself again.
I started learning about and helping trauma survivors in 2002. I hold an Advanced (Level II) post-graduate Certificate in Trauma Therapy and I've completed Level 1 Sensorimotor Psychotherapy training. I use talk therapy, expressive arts, somatic resourcing, parts work, mindfulness and holistic techniques. Free resources on my website.
I'm a Certified Daring Way(TM) Facilitator, trained and qualified to use this shame resiliency method which is based on the research of Brené Brown. If you're ready to connect with your true self and develop deeper, more meaningful connections with others, contact me today!
