I have thirty years of experience working with individuals ,couples and families. My work and practice experience has made me acutely sensitive to needs of adults with chronic illness, and with parents whose children have learning disabilities. I am a trained psychoanalyst and my psycho dynamic approach to my work enlarges clients understanding of their situations and offers them insight into patterns of behavior that interfere with their functioning in a variety of interpersonal relationships.I also have extensive experience working with individuals who suffer from anxiety and/or depression.
I was a consultant to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society for fifteen years and helped both individuals and families to deal with the issues that having a chronic illness creates.Analytic training provided me with understanding of the issues that create behavioral and interpersonal problems and enhanced my treatment skills..
My prior years of experience teaching and supervising as an Associate Clinical Professor at New York University Silver School of Social Work has given me additional insight into the cultural and psychological issues of diverse groups of people.
