I specialize in moving people into stronger positions of agency in their lives. Being alone with overwhelming emotions intensifies our pain. It also blocks psychological growth, depletes our emotional resources, and undermines creative problem-solving and well-being. I provide a competently-directed treatment process that can help untangle complicated feelings and experiences and awaken the possibility of change.
I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families to help stabilize the individual or system when healthy functioning has been disrupted by crises such as divorce, remarriage, loss, depression, anxiety or other stressors. I also treat couples using a powerful, attachment-focused model called PACT - A Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy.
I am active in collaborating with and/or referring to adjunctive treatment professionals to help my clients more effectively and efficiently respond to the slings and arrows of life.
