Abigail Burd, MSW, LCSW, BCD, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in San Diego
Hello! I'm so glad you are open to therapy. It can be scary to be vulnerable and face our deepest fears and challenges. I'm here to support you in your chosen goals. My style is warm, open, genuine, relaxed, caring, curious and wise. I'll create a space for you to be supported AND challenged, specific to your individual needs. You should leave our first session feeling some relief as I work quickly to alleviate pain, stress, anxiety and sadness. Please let me know a good time for us to chat to see if we could fit.
I specialize in addictions and perinatal mental health, including the anxiety and emotional challenges of pregnancy and new parenthood and parenting. Becoming a parent is a time of adjustment. I integrate my professional expertise with my passion for empowering new and expecting parents to survive --and enjoy-- this transition.
I am an LGBTQIA-affirming therapist and support individuals on any stage of the gender and/or sexuality journey. College and Graduate students welcome. Hablo español. En la terapia es importante expresarte en la lengua en que te sueñas. Hago todo que puedo para que te salgas adelante.
