Naomi Yano, MSc, RP, Registered Psychotherapist in Mississauga
You are "whole," not broken, though you may feel otherwise. You are an agent of change, and have the power to make a difference, in your own life and others. You know yourself best, and have resources within you that can be brought forth. You are perfectly imperfect. Early life experiences have shaped us, giving us resources and coping strategies to survive. Sometimes we find that later in life, these strategies no longer work for us, and we may need assistance to find different alternatives. As we become aware of ourselves, we can also become aware of where we can make changes.
I work with couples to: prepare for marriage/committed relationships, break problematic repetitive cycles, grow emotional intimacy, help in affair recovery, and bring resolution to separation/divorce. With individuals, my special interests include emotional trauma (grief/loss or finding out about a partner's infidelity); coping with depression/anxiety and stress; and mindfulness based practices.
I am a psychotherapist with a varied background in psychology, marital/family therapy, sociology and theology. I attempt to live mindfully, being conscious of how my choices impact myself, others, and the earth. I also make time to read, take walks in any kind of weather, enjoy the presence of loved ones, and eat chocolate.

Beyond Infidelity

Join us for conversations to cope, heal, and move forward from your partner's affair(s). We will explore questions such as: What is an affair? What do I do now that I have found out? How do I deal with the emotions? How do I deal with my partner? Should I stay or should I go? Why did it happen and how do I know it won't happen again? This professionally facilitated workshop will provide opportunities to process your experience, learn practical tools and strategies while receiving peer support.
