Thank you for your interest. I have been working with children, adolescents, families, and individual adults in private practice for the past 25+ years. For the first twelve years of my career I worked for Yale-New Haven Hospital on their Child Psychiatric Inpatient Service, Baystate Medical Center's Child Psychiatry Department, as well as school systems before making the transition to private practice in 1998. In addition, I completed a clinical externship at The Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy in New York City.
At least half of my current practice (2018-present) is working individuals 13 to 30 years of age. I lean toward a slightly less formal manner. When appropriate, and fitting to the situation, I incorporate a sense of humor into interactions.
I like to have the first contact be a phone call of 10 to 15 minutes to see if I'm a good fit for what someone is looking for in a psychotherapist.
