Christine Shaw, MABC, CAPC, Counselor in Devon
Working primarily with couples, women, and young adults, I assist clients with personal growth and relationships, conflict, grief/loss, self-image and sexuality, abuse recovery, faith matters and career direction. With professional and biblical counseling training, and cross-cultural experience, I am sensitive to complex issues. Pursuing PA state licensure, clients benefit from the input of my clinical supervisors. I integrate family-of-origin work, and emotional and experiential strategies. I work with children under a Registered Play Therapy Supervisor.
I use Prepare-Enrich with pre-marital couples. This assessment can also be used with married couples, for a fresh view of strengths and growth areas. In my approach I draw from attachment and trauma theories, family systems, faith-based models, and skill-enhancing tools.
Hours: Monday evening, and Tuesdays in Devon; Thursday daytime in Media. Friday mornings, and occasional Saturday slots per arrangement. My office availability for children under 11 is limited to Media. I welcome brief phone consults to discuss good fit for working together.
