Alexis Fernandez, LMFT, CSAT, CST, Marriage & Family Therapist in New York
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and certified sex therapist working with individuals and couples. My primary focus is sex therapy and sexual/relational problems at all stages in life with men and women. Areas of expertise include sexual dysfunction; arousal, desire, and orgasmic issues, intimacy issues with self and partners, compulsive/hypersexual behavior/sex addiction, love addiction, paraphilia's, and partners of sex addicts.
My other area of focus is substance abuse disorders, helping people understand the genesis/triggers to their addiction while helping them build a healthy, balanced, and sober lifestyle. Additionally, I help people with addiction understand and restore levels of intimacy and how to incorporate that into a healthy sexual life.
If families are struggling with their loved ones' addiction, I provide family therapy to help educate on the addiction process, establish boundaries, trust, and communication. My overall goal with all specialties is to listen, provide education and therapeutic techniques to help you heal and live a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
