I believe in people's ability to heal and grow after difficult experiences. However, it can be hard to know where to start, who to trust, or what might be helpful. Maybe you experience depression or anxiety, suffer from the consequences of trauma and chronic pain, or would like to repair and strengthen your romantic relationship. Regardless of your life’s journey and obstacles, treatment can help! As a psychologist with a holistic and integrative approach, I utilize evidence-based treatments (the gold standard), while also incorporating other helpful tools depending on your unique concerns.
I specialize in trauma recovery and, for almost two decades, I’ve been helping people recover from sexual abuse/assault, combat & first responder trauma, childhood abuse, interpersonal violence, discrimination, and/or grief & loss. As a registered yoga teacher, I am also able to incorporate mindfulness, gentle movement, and/or yoga when it suits your needs.
Since everybody’s journey is different, we can take an individualized approach to your healing either through EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, or PE-PC (a brief exposure therapy). I am also trained in DBT, treatments for chronic pain & insomnia, and couples counseling.
