Nicole Hsiang, LMFT, Marriage & Family Therapist in San Francisco
Hi. I am Nicole, a third generation Chinese American, born and raised here in San Francisco. I first decided to become a therapist 8 years ago, after spending many years volunteering as a rape crisis counselor for women who had experienced sexual violence. I have worked with a diverse range of individuals, adolescents, couples, and families in a variety of clinic settings, as well as school-based counseling with middle school students. My approach to therapy can best be described as wanting to understand the world through your words.
I enjoy working with people who are new to therapy, and come from families where therapy is a foreign concept. I think therapy can be helpful to anyone wanting a place to speak their truth. I also find the practice of meditation and mindfulness to be useful in my work.
If you are wondering if we would make a good fit, the best thing to do is to call me and ask for a free consultation, either in person or by phone. Visit my website to see if you think I could meet your particular needs.

Self Care Workshop for Activists

After the election, many of us experienced incredible grief, anger and despair. These painful feelings can lead to anxiety, depression, inability to concentrate, and burnout. In these times, loving ourselves is a revolutionary act. This workshop provides practical tools of self-compassion for responding to the painful emotions that can immobilize us and disempower our movements. It is also a space for community discussion, reflection, and support. RSVP:
