Sandy Peace, PsyD, Psychologist in Los Angeles
If you are ready for change in your in your life, therapy is a great catalyst! I am an integrative therapist and utilize a variety of modalities tailored to individuals', partners', and groups' needs. Some of these include: mindfulness, somatic, CBT, DBT, brief psychodynamic, existential, humanistic/person-centered, and relational. I am a generalist clinician working with a range of presenting concerns such as: identity development, life transitions, relationship enhancement and skill building, family issues, body awareness and acceptance, anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, bipolar, personality disorders, addiction, sexuality/ sexual difficulties, sexual orientation, gender identity, polyamory/open relationships, and empowered communication.
I am a multiculturally competent therapist, sex educator, and speaker. I have particular expertise working with young adult, gifted, LGBTQIA, and polyamorous people. I enjoy working with professionals "who have it all" yet are not happy, as well as people who feel constricted by societal roles and are seeking alternatives.
I hold a holistic view of people and health and refer to physicians, psychiatrists, acupuncturists, massage therapists, etc. to support your mental/physical health. Societal factors, learning, genetics, and chemistry all shape us and are examined in therapy. Humor, love, acceptance, consciousness, and compassion are integral in our work together.
