Mandy Parida, MA, LMHC, ET, Counselor in Seattle
Oftentimes exploring the reasons for coming into therapy can be difficult. My goal is to help you negotiate feelings that may arise in the process of healing. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process between client and clinician. As your therapist, I will help you answer questions or concerns you may have by guiding you on a journey inward and exploring with you the thoughts and feelings you experience. I will always encourage you to find and listen to your own voice. I will provide a supportive, non-judgmental, safe environment for you to explore.
I counsel individuals, families, and couples. I have worked with adults, adolescents, and children ages 6+ experiencing depression, anxiety, postpartum issues, grief and loss, identity and/or LGBTQ related issues, career decisions, personality disorders, trauma, relationship concerns, and body image issues.
I also specialize in integrating Expressive Arts modalities into the traditional talk-therapy session. This type of work is particularly beneficial to individuals who are struggling with identity, grief, anxiety, and/or depression as it effectively addresses the parts of ourselves that feel unresolved, stuck, or afraid to move forward.
