Grace Kim, PhD, LP, Psychologist in Minneapolis
I am a licensed psychologist providing individual and couples psychotherapy to adults in the Twin Cities metro area. I also offer psychological and educational testing for children and adults including Bariatric evaluations, Learning Disorders, ADHD, etc. I received my master's degree in 2002 from Washington State University and my doctoral degree in 2007 from the University of North Dakota. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment where individuals can enhance their self-understanding, maximize their strengths, and learn to achieve greater satisfaction in their personal and professional lives.
My interpersonal approach focuses on helping clients to develop more effective strategies for dealing with current interpersonal problems with an emphasis on positive progress and self growth. Although I am a generalist, special interest areas include strengthening relationships, examining gender identity, racial/cultural identity, and working with the LGBTQIA community.
I have experience providing individual and couplestherapy for adult and college student populations (including Graduate, Medical and Law School students) facing a variety of developmental, familial, sexual assault, eating disorder, mood disorder, gender identity, and interpersonal issues. I follow the WPATH guidelines to provide transaffirmative care.
