Dolores Ann Guilliod, MA, LPC, Licensed Professional Counselor in Plano
In one's walk towards wholeness and change, there are various barriers and hindrances one must overcome: The prism in which we view life, the messages we received about ourselves from our family of origin, what has happened to us and what we tell ourselves about it, our fear of feelings, and our learned coping mechanisms are just a few. As a Christian counselor, it is my desire to provide a safe and accepting environment in which we can walk and work together to expose, understand, and overcome these barriers.
In my practice, I have the privilege of working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and presenting problems. These include, individuals struggling with grief, depression, self worth, and anxiety. I counsel married couples desiring healing from a spouse's infidelity or those seeking to obtain a deeper connection with their spouse.
As a Christian counselor it is my position that true healing and wholeness comes from the Lord, Jesus Christ. My counseling approach incorporates a Biblical model of counseling in conjunction with an Eclectic and Restorative therapeutic approach. Only with your permission will I incorporate scripture or prayer into our sessions.

Dolores Ann Guilliod's Groups

Grief Support Group

The group provides education and support to adult men and women, who have experienced the death of a loved one. The focus is on developing an understanding and acceptance of the grief process from a biblical frame of reference. The group seeks to minimize the uncertainty of the grief process, and encourage the participants to "lean into their grief", instead of avoiding and numbing the emotions related to the grief process. Because the journey of grief can be easier when you don't have to go it alone, you are encouraged and welcome to join us.
