Rachel specializes in working with: victims of trauma and abuse, anxiety and depression, domestic violence, family violence and conflict, relationship issues: divorce, family changes and/or adjustments, child and adolescent behavioral concerns and/or school related problems, chronic pain, Progressive Counting, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Rachel utilizes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in working with victims of abuse and trauma. EMDR is an eight-phase therapeutic approach, that research has shown to be effective for treatment with traumatic memories. (Shapiro, 1995, 2001) EMDR can be effective in treating a wide variety of other problems.
