Julie Blackburn, LCPC, LCPC, NCC, ATR, Counselor in Orland Park
My focus is solely on fertility issues, perinatal support, new parenting situations and bereavement. You deserve compassion and sensitivity as you learn about your health, explore options, cope with relationships, make decisions and adjust to a different way of living. Even though we all are effected by life challenges throughout life, sometimes the experience is more intense than you have ever expected. This may be the first time seeking counseling services. It's important to connect with a therapist that is specialized in your life situation and with whom you feel comfortable.
Fertility: primary or secondary infertility, tests and treatment, anxiety, relationships, living child free, family building options, pregnancy loss. Perinatal Support: emotions during and after pregnancy, life adjustments, pregnancy after infertility treatment. Support surrounding new parenting situations. Bereavement: accidental/sudden death, suicide, long-term health issue, anticipatory grief for caregivers.
I am passionate about listening and providing individualized care for your concerns. You can expect sensitivity and understanding while you evaluate options, make decisions about your family and adjust to changes in life. Expressive therapies are utilized to deepen personal awareness, explore emotions, identify coping strategies and employ relaxation techniques.
