My name is Irving Schattner. I am a licensed clinical social worker / psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience helping individuals, couples and families find solutions to real-life challenges and problems. I specialize in the field of Addictions and Recovery. I also specialize in treating anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety disorder, OCD, social phobia, specific phobias, and agoraphobia) utilizing Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and other evidence-based modalities. I am a Level 2 trained Gottman Methods Couples Therapist, and trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.
Services include individual, group, couples and family therapy. I use evidence-based treatments in helping people overcome chemical (drug and alcohol) addictions, anxiety disorders and any other life challenges. I provide specialized support groups, workshops and other events to help my clients achieve their goals.

Social Skills Workshop (SST)

The Social Skills Training Workshop will help people who are shy, awkward or uncomfortable in various social, work or other settings, who lack various social or assertive skills. Lacking these skills can result in difficulty building a network of supportive acquaintances, friends, business / career opportunities, and forming intimate relationships. Participants will get to share their struggles, practice new skills in the safety and support of the group, which can then be applied to real-life situations. (Workshop runs for 8 consecutive Saturdays, maximum of 12 participants -- Cost: $399, payable by cash, check, credit/debit -- Registration required.

Do anxiety, panic or fear control your life? This group will help you break free from anxiety and live a more productive and enjoyable life.
