I have more than 20 years experience in relationship counseling, men's issues and family counseling. Electronic media and video game abuse have become important counseling topics that I treat. I help men with life transitions and work issues, partners navigate relationship issues and families resolve conflict. I help with difficult children & adolescents and wrote "How to Change Your Child's Behavior". It highlights principles of good parenting, why children get out of control, and how to establish rules. My protocol is used by schools, child welfare agencies, and juvenile justice systems. I also specialize in treating ADHD.
I feel competent helping men, couples and families identify and creatively resolve sources of conflict. I work with my clients to help them create effective ways of reducing and eliminating the sources of friction.
I collaborate with my wife Barbara Reitman, a Licensed Independent Social Worker. Barbara's experience with a wide array of woman's issues, the child welfare system, adoption, and foster care compliment and support my competencies.
