Therapy can initially be awkward. I'm a stranger and you are a stranger but somehow I need you to tell me personal stories about yourself! I know you can do it! Studies are showing behind every "diagnosis" there has been at least one event of trauma which has occurred in a person's life. It makes sense to me. Think about it. I have the tendency to explain that therapy doesn't always occur inside my office. If I am providing EMDR, which is a form of treatment, that is different. Get ready to work!
I have been professionally trained in EMDR. The only thing I ask is for you to be willing to allow yourself to go through the process. I work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, whether directly and indirectly.
I was becoming frustrated when I was unable to find a clinician willing to meet with a patient after 5 PM or on the weekends. My goal is meeting you where you are in life at this very moment and assisting you in achieving whatever goals YOU want to accomplish!
