DBT for Alcohol/Substance Recovery
How can 12 Sessions of DBT benefit You? DBT supports you if you want to deepen your recovery, improve your interpersonal skills, learn skills to improve your life. How are skills Taught in DBT? Core Mindfulness - being present and non-judgmentally aware in the moment. Distress Tolerance - managing difficult feelings and triggers Emotion Regulation - learning to skillfully use/change emotions. Interpersonal Effectiveness –relating skillfully with others. *NOTE * 3 weeks ~ 2 hour class per week ~ 1 phone call per week Bring Honesty, Open Mindedness and Willingness And You Won’t Fail in DBT
