Daniel S Sokal's Groups

School related anxiety group for teens

Does your teen miss out on things that other teens are doing? Does your teen fear embarrassment or making mistakes in front of others? Does your teen worry all the time? Does your teen often feel sick with headaches or stomach aches? This group provides a safe place to talk with other teens who face adversity at school and experience social anxiety, school avoidance, and school refusal. It works towards the practice of insight, trigger identification, and anxiety combating skills in a carefully structured setting. This group spans 10 weeks. It is capped at 5 participants.

More about this group

Children who have experienced separation/divorce

Many children can be angry, hurt, and confused about your separation or divorce. Are you worried whether your child will make it through school, feel like an outsider, or have the role models that you desire? This 6 week group is a safe place where your children can develop the skills that will help them understand their anger, hurt, and confusion and deal with it in a way that is more helpful and healing to them rather than the more unproductive and destructive ways in which these negative feelings can be expressed. This group is capped at 5 participants and out of pocket only.
